One Week In-Person Specialty Camps
All in-person camps were held at Creekside Education Center (3387 Barranca Parkway. Irvine, 92606)
1st – 3rd grades August 7 – 11, 2023 9:00am – 12:00pm
Does your child like to create and use their imagination?
Creativity meets inspiration in this hands-on building camp from Child Creativity Lab. Children will enjoy an imaginative week with daily engineering challenges, art activities, and games. Using unconventional recycled materials to build, each day will have a unique theme including Space Day, Explorer Day, and Adventure Day with students building projects such as a mini spaceship, robot prototype, floating boat, and bungee jumper. Participants will learn how to innovate and think outside the box as they explore the exciting world of STEAM (STEM + Art)—reuse, renew, and re-imagine as they learn to problem-solve and look at materials in a whole new way.
4th – 6th grades August 7 – 11, 2023 9:00am – 12:00pm
Does your child dream of starting their own business?
Creativity meets entrepreneurship in this hands-on building camp geared toward preparing the next generation of inventors—where the only limit is your child’s imagination. Child Creativity Lab instructors will guide students as they work to create their own product, with lessons including engineering, design, budgeting, and marketing. Using unconventional recycled materials, students reuse, renew, and re-imagine as they learn to problem-solve and look at materials in a whole new way. The campers will make their own Shark Tank presentations on the last day of class. Parents are invited to attend this presentation.
